Frederick Breathe Free Sinus and Allergy Center is committed to providing the best sinus and allergy relief in the Frederick and surrounding area, using the most advanced proven patient-friendly techniques available.

With 29 million Americans suffering from sinusitis and 242,000 annual chronic sinusitis ER visits, Fredrick Breathe Free's mission is to provide minimally invasive options for needed long-lasting relief so that patients can get back to living. They call this "Breathe Free and Live Well," and it is the North Star that guides them in each unique collaborative patient interaction.

Dr. Jamie Oberman’s interest in treating different types of sinus conditions means he must stay up to date on sinus surgery innovation and technology.

Attending Boston College for his undergraduate studies, Dr. Oberman completed his graduate studies at Tufts Medical School on the Navy Health Professions Scholarship Program - an ROTC for medical school equivalents. Post medical school led Dr. Oberman to the Navy until his retirement in 2017. There, he completed his internship in Pediatrics with the full intention to follow through with that specialty for his fellowship. Serendipitous events led him to general comprehensive ENT which he believes was "for the better".

"After that pediatric internship, you have to do an operational tour in operational medicine to give some payback before that ENT residency, so I did my operational tour as a diving medical officer with the Navy SEALS and Explosive Ordnance Disposal in the diving community, which is very important. It's very pertinent to ENT," Dr. Oberman said. "Most people wouldn't make that correlation, but it very much is because of the sinus and barometric pressure changes in the perinatal sinuses and in the middle ear space enclosed cavities like in the skull base."
